THE USED CAR MARKET is set to see a gentle slow down towards the end of the year, avoiding the price crash feared by some in the industry. Experts at CAP Automotive say there are no shocks on the horizon as used car prices are not reducing as quickly as previously expected. It's difficult for Ariel to come up with a mid-life refresh for its cars - there simply aren't that many bits to fiddle with in the first place. As the name suggests, it's a development of the Ariel Atom 3, with a crop of minor visual tweaks and some mechanical changes too, keeping Caterham and BAC looking over their shoulders.
The new Ford Fiesta small car is either right on schedule or a few weeks late, depending on who's talking. Ford says the car is on schedule for a promised “summer” launch. Ford is shipping the cars this week from an assembly plant in Mexico.
